We love Østerbro and the calmer and more chill vibe there. We opened a restaurant in Østerbro for the first time in 2015 which was our 3rd restaurant in total but the first one in a more local neighbourhood with fewer tourists compared to Jægersborggade and the centrally located Torvehallerne.

Our restaurant in the heart of Østerbro

Our 7th GRØD restaurant is located on the iconic street, Nordre Frihavnsgade which is filled with small specialty shops, hairdressers and cafés. The restaurant in Østerbro is close to Trianglen, bus connections and schools so you will probably see the restaurant if you are on your way to work or similar.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner in Østerbro

Our restaurant in Østerbro serves everything from our breakfast dishes to our savoury lunch and dinner dishes such as our seasonal risottos, mushroom barley-otto, daal and congee. We have heard many prejudices about how "boring and sticky" porridge can be, but we are certain that we can convince you that porridge can be delicious and versatile. For instance, one of our breakfast dishes is the “Oat porridge 1” with caramel sauce, almonds and apples or for lunch and dinner you can have one of our savoury dishes such as risottos, mushroom barely-otto or daal. If you want to be healthy and have your daily veggies, we recommend one of our bowls, which is topped with seasonal veggies and ingredients. Our menu changes with the seasons as we adapt to the season’s veggies and berries, but you can always see the current menu here.

GRØD products

Besides making the world's best porridge (if you ask us), we also make products you can use at home. We have developed not just one, but three award-winning granolas, and they are available in the following flavors: "peanut butter coco", "double chocolate" and "chia berry flax", so there is little something for everyone. We have also made an instant porridge that works just like cup noodles – a little bit of hot water and 5 minutes later you have made yourself a delicious and easy breakfast.

To-go in Østerbro

We have plenty of space inside our restaurant, but if you prefer to eat your porridge at home, we can easily make your order as to-go or you can get it delivered. We offer the whole menu as take away, so all you have to do, is to decide what you want to eat. With our central location on Nordre Frihavnsgade 14, it is easy to get to the restaurant by car, bus, metro, walking or by bicycle.
